The Waiting Game

If you are a bottle of Pinot Noir or Chardonnay from la Bourgogne, it takes about 10 years for a bottle to be ready to drink. We take a hell of a longer.

Progress. If you are setting goals and tracking them, you can see where you are having success and where you need to work harder.

But how do we set goals?

I just learnt that the first step is not looking at the time frame of what you want to accomplish but setting the right attitude.

What are the changes you want to make in your life?
What are the solutions to what YOU want in the future?
How do YOU get to where YOU want to be?

Of course decide where you want. You don’t get into your car and drive around deciding where you want to go, wasting gas instead of taking a direct route. You get in your car to go places that are predetermined.

Don’t put your life on autopilot.

Be solution orientated. What is going to have to change for you to achieve what you have decided to go after.

Then you can start to incorporate a time frame.

1. 10 year goals.
2. 5 year goals
3. 1 year goal

And continue.
